The term CV which stands for Curriculum Vitae is basically a short to the point descriptions of yourself. The key factors to your CV should be where you've worked, where you went to school, what qualifications and skills you've gained and a brief summary of yourself. The aim of the CV is to give the employer a sense of what experiences you have gone through and what you can do. At different stages in your life your CV will change as you develop through your career your CV will develop with you. Depending on what job you are applying for you can aid your CV towards that, for example at the end of your profile section you could add why you would be good for the certain job you are applying for etc.

My profesional musical theatre CV lay out is much different to the above. This is due to the different way you sell yourself through the A4 piece of paper. Within the Musical Theatre industry they don't want to know what grade you got on you GCSE English exam but instead they are interested in what other professional work you have done, your voice quality, your height and much more. I personally believe the main focus with your Musical Theatre industry CV is your head shot, I remember the panic in third year of deciding who to go with? who could I afford? who's photography did i like? It truly was a panic when having to decide. But now I understand why it was a panic because your headshot is your selling point. "Does The Face Fit!"
